Privacy policy

The short version
Pumpdale does not have accounts. Your lifter, workouts, progress, settings, Library reading history, gym bag, and virtual items are saved on your own device. If you start a new lifter, the game keeps one previous-lifter copy on the device so you can restore it. The game does not send your save to Bluffmark, show ads, process payments, or use analytics or tracking tools.
Cloudflare hosts the web version and processes ordinary network and security information when your browser requests the site. If you follow a link to another website, that website applies its own privacy policy.
This policy covers the Pumpdale website at pumpdale.com, the web version of the game at play.pumpdale.com, and the Pumpdale iPhone app. The app keeps your save on your device just as the web version does, collects nothing and sends nothing off your device; the optional daily reminder is a notification scheduled on your device, not sent from a server.
What is stored on your device
The game stores progress and settings in your browser's storage. That can include a lifter name you choose, appearance and body settings, height, weight, body-fat percentage, training experience and goals, workout history, personal records, simulated body changes, check-ins, streaks, virtual items and currency, clothing and colors, gym-bag items, sauna state, Library entries you have read, and accessibility, audio, haptic, reminder, and graphics preferences.
Choosing New lifter keeps one full copy of the previous lifter on the device. Restoring that lifter removes the copy after it is used, and starting another new lifter replaces the older copy. The game also asks supported browsers for persistent storage so browser cleanup is less likely to remove your save. Your browser may grant or deny that request. It does not give the game access to other files and does not send your save anywhere.
The game also keeps a few small records locally: limited device-performance information (such as browser user agent, a detected graphics-chip label, the graphics tier it picked, and a timestamp) used only to choose suitable graphics; which apartment upgrades were placed, so the right models load; an unfinished character-creator draft, so a reload does not lose your choices; and a flag that remembers whether this device has already seen the introduction.
Your controls
- Export your save as a file or a save code, and import a file or code, from Settings. Exports stay under your control.
- Start a new lifter, or restore the one previous lifter, from Settings.
- Use Delete all data in Settings. It removes the active save and history, the unreadable-save backup, the previous-lifter copy, the graphics record, the apartment record, and the unfinished creator draft.
- Delete all data does not remove the introduction-seen flag, the service-worker registration, or the game-file cache. Clearing this site's data in your browser settings removes those too.
Because there is no account and saves are never uploaded, Bluffmark cannot retrieve or restore a save that exists only on your device.
Game files kept by your browser
The web version registers a service worker, a small script served from the same site. Your browser may keep a copy of the public game files (code, models, textures, fonts, and similar) in Cache Storage so the game loads faster. This cache does not contain your save or exported files. It stays until the game replaces it, your browser removes it, or you clear the site's data. Downloading or refreshing those files creates ordinary web requests when you are online.
Information processed when the site is delivered
When you visit pumpdale.com or play.pumpdale.com, your browser and Cloudflare process ordinary request information needed to deliver and protect the site. This can include IP address, date and time, requested URL, browser and device information, response status, and security signals. Cloudflare may create network statistics and make some logs or analytics available to Bluffmark. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Pumpdale's own code does not set cookies. Depending on security settings, Cloudflare may set strictly necessary security cookies, such as ones used for bot protection.
What Pumpdale does not collect
The game does not collect account credentials, email addresses, phone numbers, contacts, precise location, camera or microphone content, photos, payment-card information, or advertising identifiers, and it does not upload your save. It does not use advertising, analytics, behavioral tracking, or crash-reporting tools, and it does not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
How information is used
- to deliver the game files and features;
- to save your progress and preferences on your device;
- to choose stable graphics settings;
- to keep the service secure, prevent abuse, diagnose delivery problems, and understand overall reliability; and
- to comply with legal obligations and protect legal rights.
Sharing and links
Cloudflare provides hosting, content delivery, and network security. Pumpdale contains links to HonestLifter and to license and source pages for open components. They open only when you choose them, and the destination's own privacy practices apply. Bluffmark may disclose information if reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect people or rights, investigate abuse, or complete a business transfer with appropriate safeguards.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to ask about, access, correct, delete, restrict, or move personal data, to object to certain processing, and to complain to a data-protection authority. California residents may have additional rights under California law. Pumpdale does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To make a request, write to info@bluffmark.com. We may need enough information to verify and locate a record, and because the game has no account, a request may not be linkable to a particular visitor's server logs.
Children
Pumpdale is a general-audience game and is not directed to children under 13. Bluffmark does not knowingly collect personal information through the game from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has sent personal information to Bluffmark, contact info@bluffmark.com and we will investigate and delete it where required. Please do not enter a real child's name or body information as a lifter profile.
Security and international processing
Bluffmark uses reasonable measures appropriate to this service. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. Keep exported saves private if you consider them sensitive. Cloudflare operates a global network, so network information may be processed outside your state or country.
Changes to this policy
If Pumpdale adds features that change what is collected, such as accounts, cloud save, advertising, purchases, or notifications, Bluffmark will update this policy before they go live and note material changes in the game or on the site.
